PLF President Jesse Juen discusses a field trip to view the amazing work on the north side of Mount Taylor in west central New Mexico where efforts to improve ponderosa pine, pinon pine, meadow and browse habitat throughout public lands in the Mesa Chivato area have been ongoing for over 15 years. Collaborative Partnership Combats Illegal Dumping.
Through the efforts of a unique Illegal Dumping Partnership (IDP), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Doña Ana County, South Central Solid Waste Authority (SCSWA), Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office and the Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch Authority (MVRDA) are making excellent strides in combating illegal dumping throughout the BLM Las Cruces District and county.
