National Public Lands Day (NPLD)

NPLD is the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands. The national event is coordinated by the National Environmental Education Foundation. Visit the NEEF site to find volunteer projects near you!

The PLF’s involvement helps in ways to make this day a memorable experience for those who volunteer and to provide the BLM with resources that are not easily obtainable. We provide small project grants used to purchase food, supplies and materials. In 2017, PLF helped to fund 24 events and projects that occurred on National Public Lands. A total of $9,095 was budgeted  to support NPLD activities in nine States.

The next NPLD is Saturday, September 28, 2019.
