JR was an US Navy veteran and served in the Korean War. He graduated, from UC Davis, with a PhD in Geology. JR had a 32-year BLM career, starting, as a Geologist, at the CA Folsom FO and retiring as the Senior Technical Mineral Spec from the CASO.
