Tom Allen

This year’s Volunteer of the Year Award goes to Tom Allen for his commitment over the last several years as the Public Lands Foundation’s representative on the Executive Committee of the Wild Horse and Burro Rangeland Management Coalition.

In this capacity, Tom has kept current on the BLM’s Wild Horse and Burro program and related problems and issues, and has represented the PLF’s position well. And, he has traveled to Wild Horse and Burro meetings often at his own expense to represent the PLF.

Tom also has represented the Public Lands Foundation before the American Wildlife Conservation Partners (AWCP) since 2009, where again he has served the Foundation well, even on matters controversial in nature, such as recreational shooting on public lands.

For Tom’s hard work and commitment, we recognize him as this year’s Volunteer of the Year.
