In 1974, Henri graduated, from the U of NH, with a Forestry degree. In 1975, he started his 34-year BLM career, in the CA Redding DO, as a Forester. Henri had postions in Land Use Planning/Environmental Analysis in the CO Grand Junction and Montrose DOs. He then became the DM, first in Phoenix and later in the California Desert DOs; WO Special Assistant to the BLM Director and AD for Renewable Resources and Planning; AK SD; and, finally, the WO DD for Operations and the Secretary of the Interior’s Senior Advisor for Alaska Affairs. He retired in 2009. Since retirement, Henri served as PLF for three years; he served on the Advisory Council for the Teddy Roosevelt Conservation Partnership; he was on the Board of Directors for the Sonoran Institute for three years, two of which were as Chairman of the Board; and he continued to work as advisor to private companies helping to provide mitigation for large solar facilities being built in the California Desert.
