Jim graduated from Hamline University, St. Paul, MN (BS-Biology), U o f WY (MS-Botany), and Cornell University (PhD-Terrestrial Ecology). He had a 30-year BLM career and worked in Socorro, NM, Montrose, CO, Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ, Las Vegas, NV and Washington D.C. Jim retired in 2005.
