In March 1968, Larry enlisted in the Army. After his honorable discharge, He attended the University of Montana, in Missoula. Following graduation, Larry started working for BLM, in Anchorage, AK. He continued his BLM career in Ukiah, OR, Craig, CO and Glennallen, AK where Larry finished his BLM career in 1979. After leaving BLM, Larry worked, as Fire Management Officer, for AK Division of State Forestry, in Glennallen and Soldotna, Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and Bureau of Indian Affairs in Anchorage. Larry retired in 2012.
