In 1976, Buddy graduated from Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, TX, where he earned a B.S. in Agriculture, majoring in Range and Wildlife Management. After graduation he began a 40 plus year career, with the NM BLM Las Cruces FO, retiring in January of 2020.
