Bob was an US Army veteran. He graduated, from CSU, with a BS in Forestry. Bob had a 21-year career with the BLM, starting in WY, he then transferred to the AKSO (1965). Bob became the BLM AK McGrath RA Area Manager (1969) and finally the AKSO Chief of Lands and Minerals (1972) until he retired.
