Gene was an US Navy veteran of the Korean War. He graduated, from CSU, with a Forestry degree. In 1961, Gene started working, for the BLM CO Montrose RA, as a Range Conservationist. In 1973. he became the CO San Luis Valley FO Manager and retired in 1988.
